The person behind ~ some facts
My name is Martin, I am a 27 year old student living in Klagenfurt (Austria) and this site is representing my personal webground.
In my freetime I spent a lot of hours over the last years with my passion graphics and at least I am also interested in digital photography.
Personal Informations
I like a large range of music, for example rock, pop and oldies from the sixties. Especially I often hear Deep Purple, Rainbow, DIO, Whitesnake and many others of my playlist.
Some of my favorite movies are Platoon, Seven, Forrest Gump, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Sixth Sense.
Equipment details
My workstation is a Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, 2048 MB RAM, 250 GB Seagate HDD and a Geforce 8800GTS. The digicam that I actually use is a Canon 400D with a Sigma 17-70 mm lense.
The origin ~ how the site grew up
This version of Pixelfly.net is online since january 2002 and I mainly used Adobe Photoshop for the whole layout and the graphic stuff, TopStyle3 Pro and Notepad for the code. I am not a coding freak, my knowledge includes a bit of HTML, XHTML, CSS and some basics in PHP and Flash.
A short summary of the development
All has started at the beginning of the year 2002 when I decided to register my first own web-domain and I searched for a good name. It was not really easy for me to find a cool name but finally I took Pixelfly because I think it sounds timeless well and I didn't saw this name in the web before.
After registering the domain I had to create a site and so I worked on the first version of Pixelfly. There is a great development from the first version to the actual one, I always tried to improve my skills and get inspiration to make my site more and more attractive for the visitors and to gratify my own claims on the site. In all the years my focus was more on the design cause my coding skills are not really special, but in my opinion it's enough for a personal site and I didn't have the time to learn all things about coding. I am happy to count a large number of visitors until today and I received many positive feedbacks from different people from all over the world.
Note: Sorry, but my english isn't best, of course it would be easier to write in german but I want to make my site readable for a lot of visitors and not to win a grammar contest.
